Hydrosols are the ‘waste’ product of the production of essential oils. They have many of the therapeutic qualities of essential oils but are very diluted compared to the intense concentration of essential oils. This makes hydrosols a good choice for use with babies and young children. 

Rose hydrosol, besides smelling delicious, can be sprayed on linens or used as a room spray. It is soothing for the eyes. I keep a bottle in my refrigerator for use when chopping onions. It’s great for refreshing tired eyes. It also makes a beautiful  hydrating and setting mist for spraying on your face right after you have applied makeup.
